The Oru Couture Mask is constructed from designer textiles that retail for up to $500 per yard.  These status fabrics come from major design houses like Scalamandre, Fortuny, Cowtan & Tout, Schumacher, Colefax & Fowler, Brunschwig & Fils, Knoll, and Maharam, among others. 
 
We hand-tailor and press each mask individually, giving them sharp lines that create a clean, unique look. Our design inspiration comes from the art form of origami—folded paper, folded fabric. This allows the mask to fit into a coat pocket or purse easily and neatly. 
 
The Oru mask meets CDC requirements for a cloth mask:
 
washable--gentle cycle, air dry
multiple layers of material 
ear loops
fits tight to the face
does not restrict breathing 
 
Not only does the ORU mask comply with these standards, but it also has an internal pocket that will accept a disposable PM 2.5 filter to help enhance its performance.  However, THE ORU IS NOT A MEDICAL GRADE MASK.
